HEATHEN: Thrash Metal from the San Francisco Bay Area USA who have been active since 1984. They are one of the pioneers of Bay Area thrash metal alongside Metallica, Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, etc. Their older albums are maidenesque, but on steroids with razor-sharp riffs and a thumping rhythm section with some speed metal influences, the energy is blistering & the older stuff will do some neck damage! The resurgence of Heathen with their “Evolution of Chaos” album in 2009 has been a mix of modern thrash with intricate melodic riffs and up-tempo, with some epic solos and great choruses. This is a thrash revival in its prime.
